    Covid 19 patrol protection

What is being done to protect patrol from COVID 19? Canceling a few stupid calls? Calls they should have been canceling long ago anyway? Where is our equipment? Why would us getting infected not be covered by workers comp? Most all our families and kids are home all the time. Online classes, work from home, or businesses closed. We as first responders are being exposed on the job with no equipment and no support through work comp? Why are we still going to parking violation calls? Why are calls like that still being dispatched? Why are we so short handed that we can barely deal with the calls not even relating to the governor's orders?

Maybe we will all get sick and there will be no one left to enforce laws. Im sure they will learn there lesson then.

They can pull resources for the stupid strawberry festival yet where are all those street crime units, CRD’s and detectives now?

They need to hit the streets. Along with some of if not all of the brass.

Maybe when we are all sick, the brass will have to work patrol!

Obviously, if we get sick, if happened here. It didn’t happen at the closed theme parks, the closed beaches, the closed gyms or restaurants. My kids didn’t bring it home from their closed schools. We come in contact with numerous people a day. Most of them don’t take care of themselves, so of course they’re the ones we are going to get it from. Not covering this as worker’s comp is up there with the government not covering the 9/11 cancer victims. But it doesn’t affect our brass remotely “working” from home.

The office has already prepared for this anticipated line of reasoning. "You can not prove you were infected at work," is the response they have already said they will give, when denying worker's comp.

Of course! And none of the NYPD officers got cancer from the asbestos in the twin towers.

Prob taking a little longer to get masks since they’ll need to say “CC SHERIFF” across the front...

Why are you against us? Are you anti cop? If you are a deputy, detective, supervisor, commander, or executive staffer, you need you fukking face punched in. If you are retired, then even worse. You fukking bittch. We have tolerated your puzzy comments in the past due to our concerns being limited to morale, resignations, staffing, and so on... Now its our health and the health of our families. All because this agency is too sorry to have prepared or limit our exposure. What you need is to be put in your place mother fukker.

No, it sounds like you need to re-think your decision to become a *first* responder.
