Beard Policy - Great Time To Change

So most of us still have to go to work. We are a 24/7 agency. We cannot wear masks to every call all the time. Shaving damages skin and can allow things into your skin when you shave every day. Now would seem like a great time to allow beards and go to a Class B uniform. Uniforms are going to be washed a lot. It’s getting hot out. I would think relaxing the dress code and beard policy would be in order. We don’t have the luxury of staying home and quarantining in place. We have to go to work and we have to go to homes and business and deal with people. Let us be comfortable and grow beards. They could be trimmed in a way where gas masks would still seal. And honestly, when is the last time any of us, other than lab unit people, has to wear a gas mask? Let me help you, 1996. Please people who sit in an office in air conditioning all day, consider this. Hell there are plenty of people who wear Class B every day for no reason at all, just go look at Special Ops. You have a captain and two lieutenants who do nothing but sit in an office. Must be comfortable.

The CDC recommended that men shave off beards and mustaches because they enable virus contamination and transmission.

CP10. Maybe his supervision should look at him once in a while. How did that turd get back into Community Policing? He was kicked out of there as a deputy for being absolutely inept. This agency has a retarded memory. Y’all put Papamichael back in Narcotics, now gone You put Ortiz back in CPO. Hell why don’t you just put Laney back into DUI and Spoor somewhere dominated by attractive female civilian staff. Oh gee, what a surprise. And then they are shocked at the outcomes. So stupid.

Beards used to be kind of cool. Now every IT nerd in America has a beard. Played out. Dorky. Unoriginal.
