Can someone explain to me the technology unit at FHP? I heard theres $2000 to be apart of that unit on beatrooper.com!

The Technology unit is the best of the best. They are the Area 51 of State Law Enforcement. You need a Q clearance and 16 years of special training and numerous waivers to "get invited". The Technology Unit is so classified that nobody in your circle of friends, family or coworkers will know where you went if you end up in it. You will literally vanish. You don't "apply" or find them, they have to find you and recruit you.

Biggest waste of money...why does FHP have sworn positions in IT?

It's a specialty position like every other, M-F weekends off, everyone at FHP gets an extra 2000 as long as you do not work the road.if you work the road, you are not considered special.
