Interesting analysis, but it's way above the comprehension level of the lay public. Civilians cannot fully appreciate what you wrote, unless they have worked full-time in a "line unit." Civilians do not know what the term "line unit" means. Kurt Hoffman has never worked in a "line unit" anywhere, to include at the Sarasota Sheriff's Office, nor at the Charlotte Sheriff's Office, nor at the podunk police department, where he was "let go" before he could pass his one-year probationary period.

The closest Hoffman has come to working law enforcement was when he volunteered at the Charlotte Sheriff's Office, but he was not allowed to work solo e.g. he was required to be under the watchful supervision of a full-time "line unit" deputy. To this very day, Hoffman has never worked solo as a "line unit" deputy. Specifically, Hoffman's only experience is:

    1. Working under the direct supervision of a full-time line officer and
    2. Working behind a desk at the Sarasota Sheriff's Office.

Whatever certificates or stories Hoffman is spouting as "line unit experience" is a disingenuous lie -- and is plain deceitful -- but conversely, he has a documented record for lying under oath during an official polygraph. For example, there are many people who attend a police academy, but they never get hired to work as full-time "line unit" cops. They still have the certificate-of-completion, but they do not have "experience" as "line unit" officers. That is a huge difference.

Having a JD is good, but it does not miraculously make an unethical person ethical. Being intelligent doesn't miraculously make an unethical person ethical. Granted, most JD's are ethical, but conversely, having a JD is not a magic ticket transforming an unethical person into an ethical person. It is better to have an ethical (and honest) sheriff who only has a law enforcement education, as opposed to having an educated JD with a criminal history of theft and lying.

It's interesting how Knight has promoted some of the most unethical men possible, while he concurrently presents an excellent (albeit fake) persona of being ethical.
