Chad sells his soul for votes. No way he can justify to the public replacing dully sworn Law Enforcement Deputies with security guards in middle schools. Especially with all the recent Active Shooter calls (even though they were dispelled) at Hillsborough County middle schools. No way!

We could sure use them on the street, but having worked in the section and knowing what the alternative would be to a taking out deputies and replacing them with school security over there, I don’t think it is going to happen now. Could I see it in the future? Yeah. If those school security guys and gals had it their way they would replace all HCSO, TPD, Plant City, and Temple Terrace SROs with their own and become a police agency, which almost happened back in the day. If it happened, most of the deputies would retire rather than come back to the streets, which did happen some when the elementary deputies lost their schools to school security.
