Carmine again searched the entire Sheriff Office and could not find anyone to be his Captain. He went first to the Lieutenants, no luck, maybe at the Sergeant level, again no luck, one last disparate attempt was made at the Deputy level, unable to find anyone. So he again, again, and again he reaches out past all the hard working sworn officers to bring someone in from the outside and promotes them, not even given the employees the chance. Perhaps, he does that because that is the way he arrived at LCSO. Every time he goes outside in the promotional process, he blocks a Captain from moving up, he blocks a Lieutenant from moving up, he blocks a Sergeant from moving up, he blocks a Deputy from moving up. This is not how you watch over the people that are working for you.

When will it stop. The people with long time careers at LCSO have to be asking "WHY". This is far from being smart but that is what you get when you select a person for Sheriff who has no qualifications, no experience, and has falsified his work record, falsified his certification, and violated the professional standards of police conduct.

The community deserves better and more importantly the employees deserves better. They have earned it, Marceno has not. It was given to him: not earned or worked for. Elections have consequences and the working members of LCSO should take note and exercise their support and vote.
