You mean until he kills someone else.

This is the case that they should be looking at. Ortiz was there involved and in command. Him and lugo tried to hide his involvement. He even waited a month to see if the cost was clear to do and turn in his overtime slips showing he was working. Not to mention he was chasing motorcycles the day before.

After all that he's been of accused of and still around, shows you that staff, especially the top five ranks are weak and all they care about is setting themselves up for a great retirement and pleasing the 33's they have. Funny, some officers have gotten fired, for way less then he had done and proven to do. Now, this is going to come out all kind of wrong and it's not meant to cause any racist backlash but it will, so deal with it. First you have 3 officers fired for offending a black Sgt and Lt. Then you have another, for the missed kick, heard around the world. Yet, a black officer, kick a downed female and nothing. Now, the black union is crying over Ortiz and wants the chief out. To be replaced whit whom. A new black chief????? None here can fill that position. Any black chief we ever had outside of D!ckson, were scum. Especially Perry Anderson. He made sure a white officer was fired, while giving his 33, Lt. Johnson a pass only to get fired under the next chief for that same thing she was given a pass on. I've worked with some really great black officer, over the years. The best was W.B.S! However, those that did get a promotion, changed! Their militant side came out and they had no use for the old non-black officers they worked with. It used to be us in blue-v-the community. Now it's black-v-all! You would think one would be grateful, being HANDED a promotion based solely, off their race, cause they couldn't compete, with the other races in the testing. That started the downfall of our once great department. How can you promote a black officer who scored a 70, over a white who scored a 96? Its your own responsibility to learn the testing and study, but why do so, if your a going to be handed what you don't deserve. Ok, let my a$$ kicking begin ….
Seems like they don't want any white/white Hispanic officers anymore! No one complains that corrections is 90% AA, but no one says a word...so who are the real racist?

    1) In the first place who wants to work in correction?
    2) Ortiz should’ve been fired years ago but they allowed him to misbehave after receiving complaint after complaint which just made it worse.
    3) Why wasn’t he being monitored in the early warning system for complaints?
    4) At the end the monster just got to big to control. I’m sure him taking steroids and human growth hormone which he was getting at Body RX was the cause for his recents erratic and unpredictable behavior.
    5) the monster was loose and was kept given power to keep on doing damage.
At the end Ortiz forgot that his core value was the SERVE and PROTECT the community that hired him. He was doing the opposite by Abusing his power. The writing was on the wall and the administration refused to see the signs turning a blind eye.
Will Ortiz ever be back and wear a MPD uniform again? Only time will tell but for what the community has lost trust in him.

    May this be a lesson.
