The past sheriff, well we have read the LEO affairs for years. It’s all the same stuff. There is no plan.

The present sheriff...
He is attempting, or has been placed to clean up the mess. Put pride aside present sheriff. What is the plan. What are you going to do to protect the residents of Broward county utilizing the budget you have. Utilizing the people you have in place.

Let’s see a plan.
Stop with all of this politics. We are tired of the handouts. That did not work. What are you going to do. What is the plan to stop the violence.

If you read this nonsense, you have your deputies parked under trees because they are scared to be arrested. Total nonsense.

The only plan any of them have is to try to get elected. Nothing else matters, least of all stopping violence. That causes controversy and that costs votes. Nope, it will continue to be status quo in Broward until a real leader emerges. Don’t hold your breath, we haven’t had that in decades.

They don't want to do the right thing, it's all about them. The only plan the former and current sheriff have is making it through two terms, once they have secured their benefits for life they don't care what happens. They hire their friends and family in hopes of giving them a "Golden Parachute" of benefits when they leave. Why do you think vacancies are moved out of specialty units if not filled immediately, those salaries are moved over to the administration budget so another major or Colonel can be promoted. Then when the unit needs to fill the slot, they don't have the money.

The budget is a joke, it seems like there is an arrangement with the county commission for legalized money laundering since we seem to give back all this money at the end of the year, yet when the employees ask for equipment, raises, or anything the story never changes, we don't have the money. Seriously, not only do we have to purchase our on firearms, with the exception of rifles now but only because of all the pressure, if we want a comfortable ballistic vest that is mandatory that we wear, WE have to pay the $300 for the upgrade. And at the end of the 5 year life span of the vest we lose our money when we have to turn the vest in. Seriously, what kind of BS is that? Not only that our vest are no longer IIIA because they want to save money. Out of the $100 million we gave back last time the employee raises would have only cost about $3 million, but apparently the county can't operate with only an excess of $97 million.

Then there is all the free giveaways for votes, where do you think that money comes from?

Besides afraid being afraid this guy will terminate you, being arrested for doing your job, and then just basically getting $hit on all the time what do you expect deputies to do? They sit under a tree, they respond to calls, few are proactive anymore. Employees are just people they step on along the way. So WE do what we have to do to survive for OUR families. I've been here a long time, it hasn't been this bad before.
