Trying to stir the pot again or fishing? Nope. He already said he doesn't want it and hasn't exactly been shy about that fact. They couldn't pay him enough for the headache and he could care less about the rank. Best move would be to see them let WG do it from PCB. It makes most sense but they won't do it. TCO constantly leans on the Captain in that position and need it under their thumb. Anyone other than WG who takes that position is clearly on drugs and needs to be considered for a Baker Act. My guess is we will get another outsider when all is said and done!

Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement experience is required.
A minimum of one (1) year serving as a law enforcement training officer is required.
Must possess current law enforcement certification standards in the State of Florida pursuant to Section 943.13, Florida Statutes.
Must have successfully completed or willing to complete the Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission’s Accreditation Manager’s course within one (1) year of employment.
Must have participated in a law enforcement accreditation program as a manager or in a position responsible for providing proofs of compliance.
Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience writing and implementing policies, including but not limited to policies specific to the use of force or firearms for a law enforcement agency in the State of Florida.
Must have one (1) year experience supervising emergency operations from a command or field level position.
Must be able to travel during emergency situations with little to no advance notice.
Must reside within 50 air miles of the Tallahassee Office.
Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Driver’s License.
Must have completed the necessary coursework to serve as a certified law enforcement instructor in the State of Florida.
Its fitting that the lt. Spot is in the chiefs office, because I think our chief barely qualifies for it. Maybe the chief can learn a few things from the new lt.
