Ah, The Alvin is not the police argument. Yet, here he is trolling a LEO forum. It’s hard to steal from an employer when you’re unemployed. I think the argument pertained to people using the system to their advantage. A crime is a crime.

Alvin has been attacked in a multitude of threads. This thread is about Turney. Turney stole from the taxpayers. Turney was able to get a sweetheart deal from Chitwood.

If you want go attack Alvin in some of the multitude of threads. This one started out about Turney and his stealing and how he will be a Brady cop. And it is just like others...like Omelia and his shenanigans with a victim of a crime, Campbell thinking he is a lawyer and lying to a judge, Galarza having sex on duty over 50 times. Those threads were all addressing those particular individuals and their shenanigans, yet the one poster always wants to bring up Alvin and his issues. Like I said, go back to the Alvin threads and bad mouth him there.

Alvin gets arrested multiple times in the past and makes arrangements with the courts and eventually ends up with a lighter penalty (slap on the wrists). It’s essentially the same thing. So, what’s the problem? Negotiations are made all of the time as part of the process. It’s like when disgraced ex-deputies Jenkins and Szabo were rightfully fired, they negotiated their terms of exit. Alvin wouldn’t get reprimanded at work, because he’s not a grown responsible man and is unwilling to hold a job. No wonder why he has so much time on his hands to sit on a computer/troll, write multiple incoherent paragraphs, and sound like a kook on the radio. Thank goodness we have a great Sheriff at the helm and a superb man named Barker calling out the corruption and proud supporter of law enforcement. We definitely don’t need any mentally unstable individuals on any citizens review board with what we’re witnessing on here. The last thing we need is Elmer Fudd fudging his recommendations from his apparently inept bias and his mentally unstable outlook. Now that’s coverage you can count on!

1. What deals were made? Every arrest isn't a good arrest and an arrest isn't a conviction... Make a good arrest and it will stick. You bring no facts and only conjecture which won't win any discussion.

2. Why did the Sheriff lie on live air about many issues on Bernier 2-7-20?

3. Why do you call him a troll when he was called out by name on LEO affairs? Now you have a problem with someone defending their name because the facts hurt your own cause and image? He tells inside and accurate information before the agency, media or general public know and he is not credible? Explain please.

4. Alvin held his last job for 15 years, did you know this?

You obviously need a citizens review board. You just better hope and pray if considered it isn't him appointed to any board because y'all cant handle the truth.

5. Why isn't there a risk assessment hearing for him if he is so unstable? NO COMMENT? Or is it the fear of what will come out before his mic drop moment on the record and in the courts?

Bring one lie that Elmer Fudd told on the Bernier show. You cannot deny the lies and backpedaling Sheriff Chitwood did on air. The Sheriff asked a question and Alvin respectfully answered. When the Sheriff's credibility was challenged he resorted to NO COMMENT. The Sheriff was Sheriff in mid 2017. The SO was involved in the case, and the Sheriff admitted a case existed...
Sheriff Chitwood is authorized to red flag... Why hasn't he? The Sheriff isn't qualified to declare anyone unstable publically without a basis. That is a libel suit and "Real Talk" because the Sheriff isn't a liscensed psychologist. Not even a liscensed head doctor could make those comments with a diagnosis! That violates privacy and protections guarenteed by privacy of medical records. Where was the Sheriffs basis? Sure, you can throw that around here on an anonymous page, but the Sheriff or the County will have to answer for the public comments.

I say a bigger crime to stealing is listening to Alvin talk publicly. Alvin sounded like a wack job on the air. Plain and simple! The radio show was flowing nicely until he called. Whatever you say... He wasn't permitted to ask his questions on Bernier, and was prepared to ask them but the Real Talking guest Sheriff interrupted those questions and they were never heard. Sounded like real deflective talk to me. Instead asking Alvin to define his dislike of the Sheriff rather than answer those hard fact based questions. Sooner or later the questions Alvin called in to ask will be asked publically. The past has proven this as we all have witnessed.

So why was the current Sheriff dishonest though? Answer that one question, or atleast acknowledge the discrepancy... Why did the current Sheriff claim the event with his daughter happened during the prior administration? And it wasn't other jurisdictions only, Volusia was primary several times in the beginning and under the current administration. Neighbors, records and witnesses can confirm this timeframe and who WAS the Sheriff and agency on scene at the time. We know VSO was involved in the case in their coverage zone.
That sigh was epic when Chitwood recognized the caller from Deltona.

You people are freakin’ unbelievable! This thread is supposed to be about Joel Turney, and yet Alvin is the focus of half the posts. Classic deflection…..The situation with Turney raises some very serious questions that have absolutely nothing to do with Alvin, such as:

-What happens the next time a deputy is caught doing the exact same thing that Turney did? Obviously, Turney’s discipline sets an awful precedent that what was once rightly a firing offense no longer can result in termination.
-And what about the precedent of being able to use leave time to get paid during nearly half of your suspension. Awful!
-Regardless of the fact that the IA didn’t sustain the falsification of official documents charge against Turney, the reality is that he now has a well-deserved veracity issue. Would love to be the defense attorney for the next person that Turney arrests. Yikes!
-Will the news media dig deep enough on this one to report Chitwood’s true motive in reversing Turney’s termination and the obvious connection to Janelle and Creamer?
-How much will the outcome of Turney’s IA damage the public’s image of the Sheriff’s Office and law enforcement in general?

Stealing money and committing fraud is normal at the Sheriffs office. Joel is just another one caught and given no punishment. Jeff did the same and he was given a nice quite assignment so he can make it safely to retirement.

To the one that thinks Joel would be ripped apart in the courtroom... you have to make an arrest to be in a courtroom and I'd bet my next paycheck joel can't even log into copper fire, much less make a legitimate arrest.
