Ok, there is nothing which says that people can niit be escorted through a crime scene. LE limits the number of people inside a crime scene to avoid contamination of evidence. But, in this case, there was no real evidence on the crime scene, which would have impacted the case in the least. The evidence, in the MSDHS case was largely restricted to video evidence, witness testimony and comparison of bullets to Cruz's firearm. Also, given the nature of the scene, you had FD personnel running all over the place. I do not know if you have ever seen FD on a crime scene, but they can mess up a scene faster than a gaggle of kindergartners.
So, nothing to see here. Move along.

Oh, I bet you want this moved along, you want this thread gone. You are either said employee, a family member of said employee or you're as much of an idiot as the SAO employee giving a tour of the crime scene! BTW the FD had a reason to be there (I can't believe you even used that as an example), even Queenie only gave tours of the area around the building, and I agree that this, Satz protected, SAO employee had a reason to be there.
So let's say you're right, there's nothing that says someone can't be escorted through a crime scene for a tour of what happened. Do you think the first time an LEO escorts someone, oh I don't know like maybe a family member, through a crime scene that the SAO won't throw that person under the bus? Also, based on your theory, that it's alright, then why is the guest on tour logged in as an employee of the SAO, which they are not? Why mislead or lie to the person keeping the crime scene log. Why do it after business hours, they had to wait for this person to get off work? Why have a crime scene log? So, I'll tell you why we don't do it, why jeopardize the case, you know as well as I do it's all about perception. It gives something for the defense to bring up, even if it's not relative, to place doubt on the ability of the ones working the case.
That's why we don't do it!

None of them "walked through the crime scene." We wouldn't let Israel contaminate a scene or a case like this.He let the politicians walk on the campus and near the buildings, but they never entered the crime scene area. Check the crime scene logs. They never entered the 1200 building or anything inside the tape.
