How much money did he lose by being forced to retire 6 years early?

I heard it was almost 2 million dollars. It would have been a lot cheaper to pay for the tow truck and lawyer to defend the drunk who got arrested than be forced to walk away from the last 6 years of his career.

$120,000 per year salary X’s 6 years = $720,000 and that’s not even counting the DROP, Annuity, Deferred Compensation, State Money or Time Banks.

He really didn't lose that 120k cuz he is getting a pension. 120k after all the deductions is way less than his pension which has just 2 deductions. He missed out on the drop money and whatever more he could have accumulated in his time banks and shares in stste money.

What about the embarrassment of being plastered all over the newspaper and internet for your family and friends to see and never being able to work in law enforcement again. How much is that worth Mr. defense attorney???
