Ed Brodsky told a bold faced lie in public to achieve a predetermined political outcome.
Ms. Suzanne O’Donnell may be the best "chief homicide prosecutor" in the 12th Judicial District, but now that she has publicly outed Brodsky for lying-in-public, how long will it be before Brodsky seeks to fire her for trumped up allegations? The more you know...
It's now time for a new State Attorney to be elected to the 12th Judicial District.

If it were ethically inappropriate to comment while this case was under active investigation, isn't it ethically inappropriate to state to a news outlet during an interview just last week he was personally conducting an active review of the 2009 death case of Sheena Morris with two of his chief homicide prosecutors: Suzanne O’Donnell and Art Brown? If as the article states “We’ve been working on the case. We expect in the near future we’ll be able to come forward with more information." was not true how can that be ethically appropriate to lie to cover up for inept management of an elected office? I seem to recall a long time prosecutor being fired by this supposedly ethical politician (oxymoronic I know) for questioning his ethics. Things that make you go hmmmmmm.

Strategic Political Football
To dig himself out of his political quandary, Ed Brodsky called someone at the Florida Attorney General’s Office ---- and he begged them to take the Sheena Morris case off his hands! It's called "political football." Now the hot potato is somebody else's political problem. It's pretty impressive that Brodsky was able to jettison the Sheena Morris case so quickly. He obviously has some political pull with someone in the Florida Attorney General’s Office. Besides, now that the 2020 elections are fast approaching, Brodsky can completely distance himself from the Sheena Morris case. It's all quite remarkable the way it strategically played out.

Agreed. The same holds true for Kurt Hoffman's unethically documented shenanigans. However, what seems huge to people who work in the criminal justice field, may not be remembered by the general public, when it comes time to vote for the office of State Attorney. The public most definitely cares, but do they know and/or will they remember? Old timers constantly say that "the public has the memory of a gnat," but with today's electronic media, the rules are changing because of Twitter and all the other social media platforms, where people are communicating in real time.

Most people don't do their homework anyway, they just take the recommendation of the SH-T editorial staff or see the incumbent and vote for them.
