    MCPBA Truth

The Miami Community Police Benevolent Association. "Community" "Police" "Benevolent". Hmmmm. Where was the MCPBA when Sonya William's was murdered in Liberty City in 2016? Where was the MCPBA when Reggie Strong was murdered in overtown in 2018? Where was the MCPBA when Karl Pierre was murdered in Little Haiti in 2019? The list goes on and on. Did the MCPBA make community contacts and try to help the homicide unit? No. They didnt. The killers that WERE caught were arrested by both white and black detectives WITH OUT the MCPBA help. Let that sink in. Miami COMMUNITY Police BENEVOLENT Association. Hypocrites.

Well said. It's easy to stand there and criticize the chief and administration for not doing enough for black officers. Well, what the $&@% have you done for black officers or the black community? Other than embarrass us?

MCPBA wants Colina fired. MCPBA wants Ortiz fired. MCPBA wants Hispanic handyman fired. The cafeteria people fired. Deputy Chief and a dozen other people demoted and disciplined. MCPBA will end up getting nothing. They aimed for the stars and missed the moon in the way back down to earth. Dumb dumb dumb

Luck can and will run out for Ortiz, but numbers don’t lie MCPBA and the Chiefs presentation was straight on point and very detailed on the departments promotional picks. We understand that Sgt. Lindsey and LT Carr want to get promoted but your not going to be able to do it on the BS you guys are presenting. Yes the Commissioners will entertain your song and dance because you are offering them Ortiz on a silver platter and the Captain is playing right into your storyline. But the big picture will remain if either one of you want to get promoted apply yourselves and represent our department properly and you too will be afford the same opportunity that everyone else gets in this place. Unless what your saying is that our entire departments black staff members (men or women) are not worthy of their positions?

I'll tell you where the MCPBA went wrong. They attacked one of the nicest, most well-liked sergeants (Pep Reyes) who everyone, including they themselves, know isn't racist with bs lies and defended a militant, egotistical, know it all like Washington and Lubin who no one wants to work with.
If they would've just focused on Ortiz, they would've presented enough dirt to bury him.

Matt Reyes just stood there At the commission meeting and watched the MCPBA attack FOP member Pepi Reyes and others and didn't say a word. And whether or not he likes Javi, Ortiz is still an FOP member and its Matt job to defend FOP members. USELESS.

Funny because Ortiz didn’t defend them either
But said he wants Larry Hagan back and said what Destephan did was WRONG
Reyes brothers did defend the chief

Morale of the story you saw the reality of a union represent staff and politics before members
