The were lowest paid in state cannot be compared to south florida here is the proof:

The new agreement with the deputies provides three consecutive yearly increases in the minimum pay range for deputies — 4 percent each year in 2018, 2019 and 2020. That means the new minimum hourly pay rates for deputies ($17.66) and sergeants ($23.07) in 2017-18 are set to increase to $19.10 and $24.95, respectively, by fiscal year 2019-20, according to a news release from the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.

So IUPA got officers $19 bucks an hour WOW beware of IUPA

As a result of securing favorable contracts, IUPA has been taking over many departments who have not been able to secure equitable contracts.
Within the 2-3 weeks a vote will be taken at another agency in Broward to leave the PBA.

IUPA is a subservient lil ***** to the AFL-CIO who are very anti-cop anyone who joins is cutting their own throat by your dues supporting anti-cop candidates in elections yes your hard earned dues money filtered by plea/iupa but kicked up to afl-cio. Do you want your dues money supporting the scum robber who attacked a good cop ? How about your dues money supporting scum anti-law enforcement politicians well guess what if you join thats exactly what will happen.

IUPA is a million times better than the PBA Steadman. I’ll even go as far as to say that the worst person they have in their organization is light years better and smarter than you Steadman.

I love how steadman is attempting to find ways to justify a paltry 1%. Thats also shows what a poor quality person he is.
