Miami office
What are the hours? Vehicle fleet? Are there off duties? Caseload and what type of work/arrest authority to enforce all statutes or limited? Worth it for someone ready to retire from the road?

Not worth it at all. Your better off staying where your at and making the money. You’ll make 46k a year and that’s it. You can work off duty for now but that may go away soon. Hours varies. Miami office is disgruntled. Captain micromanages etc etc. cars are nice though you would probably get a brand new or one year old unmarked.

The captain is a piece of work. All smoke and mirrors. Always in a three piece suit acting like little Napoleon bragging about the big cases they work yet nothing ever comes of them a d half the office went on a PIP cause they couldn’t do enough surveys to get a “3” in 3 months.

I understand wanting off the road.
Hours are whatever to whenever. You make your own schedule. There are off duty gigs but I would not get used to it. Your work will be contained within chapters 561-569 and of course 210. You have all the authority you need given your limited responsibility.
It is what you make it. The turnover is constant. You could be LT or captain in a couple years. With all the shortcomings it is still the best job in the state.

He’s very weird. He’s always yelling about all these high level cases he’s working and the TTB yet nothing ever comes out of there other than illegal cigs, but since customs finds them and calls the office can they really claim that as their own work?
