PBA SUCKS,
it is time for each and every charter to reexamine whether they want to continue membership in this PBA or to cut and run. A couple years ago Sarasota County Sheriffs left the PBA, just recently Sarasota City PD cut their ties also. Their PBA president who is also a trustee of the state chapter was ineffective and basically useless. SPD joined another union.
If you really want to see why you should abolish any association with the PBA, just look at the North Port City PD posts, The president/trustee is also the president of the North Port chapter since it was a merged association with SPD.
They are taking our union dues and spending it on lavish parties and high salaries for the union officials. In the mean time, us poor slobs in the trenches are working without contracts, getting suspended, losing contractual benefits and yes getting fired with no cause. What is the PBA doing for nothing. They pretend to care. It is time to send the message, we need a strong organization that is going to look out for us and not themselves. Seriously, do not wait until its to late and end up like the 60 officers who were either fired, or forced to resign in the NPPD and the unions response, um, well, you know, sorry we don't feel we will win this !!!!!!!!!!! They long ago have forgotten, they work for us, not themselves or there political connections

But, grammar aside, what you just wrote indicates that there is no need for PBA because if every suspension and firing is justified there is no need for representation. And, it clearly indicates that you are always on the side of management.
