He used an M41A Pulse Rifle with 10mm caseless armor piercing rounds. He opted not use the mounted 30mm grenade launcher. 99 rounds capacity and full auto. Works great on Xenomorphs.

Ever since I got my XD in .45 ACP my wife has been satisfied with my performance. In fact she has been telling other wives about me so now I am very busy off-duty.

Well, we are still waiting to find out exactly happened in the Curry shooting. Why didn't Curry simply drive off? Why did he leave his vehicle to face a rifle, while only armed with a handgun? If he suspects really wanted to shoot him, why didn't they do it from a distance? The Curry shooting is going to become a mess for the PCSO.
You can never have too much ammunition. But, the idea that a trained officer can not accomplish a reload in under 2 seconds, is the only reason why the vast majority of LEOs would need 15+ round magazines. After all, Curry expended 18 rouds and hit only one suspect and that one only very few times. I guess if you can not hit your target, you might actually need high capacity magazines.

This is what happens when you feed the trolls. They keep coming back for negative scraps. They can’t help it. They can’t find a woman they don’t have to pay by the hour. They get bored with their hand and internet porn. They can’t stay at their parents house anymore. So they get some attention by starting flame wars with people on random blogs. It’s sad. I imagine you’re white, over weight, balding, and you have bad skin. You smell like processed meat and wear sci-fi t-shirts a lot. I bet you consider it a date when you talk to a female player in World of Warcraft. What sad fat oaf you are.

The problem is all the people replying to the troll don’t get the concept of a troll. They don’t understand that the author doesn’t believe what they are typing. They are just typing for the reaction. They show the replies to their circle of troll friends and laugh.
Things on the internet, especially sites like this, should be take with lots of salty grains.

The Curry incident has made the case for higher capacity pistols like the G45. Under stress when your life is on the line, it's harder to shoot fast and accurate like at the range. Curry laid down a barrage of fire and hit the suspect which saved his life. The higher capacity the better odds of hitting the target under extreme conditions. Curry made good decisions in a difficult situation and used what he had to stay alive, regardless what the trolls and Monday morning quarterbacks second guess. He is a hero in my book.

Yes, in high stress situations it is harder to shoot well. You experience a reduction in sensory acuity [this results in tunnel vision, among other things], all motor skills [fine and gross] and cognitive ability [including judgement]. But, "laying down a barrage of fire" puts innocents at risk. Every bullet, which fails to hit the target, is a potential deadly danger to an innocent bystander. But, apparently, LEOs don't care about the pubic they are sworn to protect. In any defensive shooting, the rules are always the same; locate your target, identify your target, identify the environment both in front of and behind your target, deliver ACCURATE fire to the target. Simply spraying and preying does not meet that criteria.
Now to Curry. So far we have heard only from Curry, through the Sheriff. That information strongly indicates that Curry exited his vehicle and fired the first shots in the engagement. The video, provided to the news outlets, does not show either of the "suspects" at all. So, Curry decided that the two men, whom he did not know, were about to shoot him. Instead of retreating, he could have driven off in either direction, he decided to actively engage them. This is where it becomes sticky for Curry and department. Curry was in plain clothes, wearing only a vest with "Sheriff", written on it. and sitting in an unmarked car. He answered in the affirmative when a subject asked him if he was a "troll". He apparently did not produce any credentials identifying him as a deputy sheriff. The two men came out of their domicile, armed. This is legal, under Florida State Statute, if it was their home. Curry had no knowledge that they were convicted felons, at the time. He made an assumption that they were going to harm him, even though they could have done so, from a distance, prior to approaching his vehicle, but did not. Reports are already being made that Ford actually returned fire, as he ran away. And, the suspect with the rifle fired only three shots, none of which struck Curry, before he too ran away, after abandoning his weapons. This strongly suggests that he was also returning Curry's fire, rather that initiating the conflict. So, the question then becomes, why would Curry choose to engage the men, rather than drive off? What led Curry to decide that he was about to be the victim of a deadly attack? Though these guys were criminals and had lengthy criminal records, there is no evidence that Curry knew that at the time. There are a lot of unanswered questions in this incident. And, the investigators are going to have to answer them. Good luck to Curry and the department in this case.

It's not legal for a convicted felon to exit their home armed with a ar15.
