Were they really promised or did they do the I'll leave if I dont get (fill in blank) Then the whole if a female deputy leaves "there must be something more to it" right? Is that the new "its coming"? #MeTooHendry? People burn out or begin under performing 8,10, 16 years. They leave where the grass is greener in their mind. Bye

“Not it says a lot”? Put down the drinks. They didn’t say they couldn’t be hired anywhere. They said they were applying to other agencies in the past. “Check the retention rates we lead the league”? Are you aware Clewiston lost both of its detectives at the same time and promoted a guy just off FTO to detective? What about Glades County SO they promised Woods a Lieutenant position within 6 months. Fort Myers PD promises Cameron an FTO position once he’s off FTO. Didn’t Lee County promote Buchhofer, Scowden and Speaks to detectives with in short time? Your making it seem like Hendry County is messed up but special exceptions happen all the time in every agency across the nation. We all know KA didn’t make her probation period no secret there and yes that happens as well at other agencies. Are you done drama queen?

JW had applied to Seminole a couple years back got an offer then they turned him down last minute. He went to Glades County and was promised a Lieutenants position within 6 months. How do you think those deputies will feel when that happens? DC has applied to several places over a period of time and was shot down till FMPD finally picked him up. DC was told by FMPD that once he’s off FTEP they’re going to make him an FTO. How do you think the officers there who’re waiting to become FTO will feel? Clewiston PD looses there only 2 detectives and promote an officer just out of FTEP to detective not sure what that says about that agency. What about CB, VS didn’t they bypass the road and go directly to detectives? What does that say about Lee County? The point of all this is stop making this out like this is a Hendry County thing when it’s done EVERYWHERE!

Lol wait wait wait, you got something backwards
"JW had applied to Seminole a couple years back got an offer then they turned him down last minute."
Seminole didn't "turn him down" at last minute. Seminole rejected him later in the process when a more fuller applicant picture was truly pieced together. "Unsatisfactory"

Pass the buck
Worry about Hendry. Fix our problems. You are already admitting defeat. Things will always be this way because it’s always been this way. You know it’s a bad sign when people leave. Any exit interviews? Anyone sit down and say how can we fix this. Or is it easier to just blame the people leaving and say it’s not our fault look it happens everywhere. Bad leadership. That’s Hendry
