BPD issues vouchers instead of tickets

Over the next few weeks, when BPD officers stop drivers for burned-out vehicle lights, they will give a voucher to have the bad bulb replaced, for up to $60 in repairs – at three repair stations:

• Brownies Automotive, 1701 9th St. W.
• Jake’s Automotive, 708 9th St. W.
• Roy’s Automotive Clinic, 1219 14th St. W.

Vehicle owners are responsible for any repairs that cost above $60. The program is funded by money seized through forfeitures because...
