Exclamation It's always on Law Enforcement's shoulders

Its always up to the officer/ detective to make an arrest.

Even though Hialeah CID will routinely consult with the SAO, the SAO will ALWAYS throw it right back on the investigators... Does the officers in good faith feel there is sufficient PC to make an arrest. If the SAO drops the case or is able to make a conviction is not our problem. Its a game of "hot potato". Hialeah stayed holding the nuclear hot potato by not arresting then playing musical chairs with JM.

The question boils down to why an arrest wasn't actuated? A sensitive case of this magnitude always appears on the Major's desk. The major with the head like a fire hydrant and the major in IA that drags his knuckles where entrusted with this. The old lieutenant/ sergeant from that section would always scurry in/out of there office in fear.

Those that have been around long enough remember when Police were treated like adults, the sergeants ran everything in the Overton decentralization era.
Everything changed with Sergio... almost all decisions go through the Majors. Hialeah is run through a handful of morons.

Just one of the counts in JM case carries a life sentence! To be swept under the rug is another flaming hot potato.

Good luck guys, glad I left.

I’ve talked with friends I have at FBI Miami and without going into details they confirmed Jesse is bringing some people down with him because of other things that were exposed while investigating him

IA functions at the pleasure of the Chief. 100 declares what he wants can’t you all see that from the stupid terminations. CID, he rules the chief so he gets away with all his abuses. Just a matter of time

We fought WWII in less time then it took Velasquez to investigate Menocal! Really!

Dumba$$ Velasquez was 4 YEARS into an investigation of a series of crimes most of which happened in police vehicles and police facilities and the suspect was known. How many more years would he have needed if the FBI had not stepped in?

Reality is that Velasquez was perfectly willing to sacrifice the women and children of Hialeah to the pedophile Menocal. He refused to accept IA's sustaining the charges of sex with minors. Velasquez did what he did to make sure the payola got picked up on time.

Velasquez needs to be suspended immediately!

I wonder if the Menocals are going to expose all the dirt they have on Velázquez now that Raja Yuca got arrested by the Feds and it’s pointless to use as leverage against him
