The candidate who has the COURAGE to walk into a school board meeting and blame the corrupt nine for MSDHS is the candidate who will earn the respect and donations of voters. When you don't have the courage to confront the truth, you'll never get the respect. If you want to know what would make voters do an about face on Tony or any candidate, it's a bold move that attacks who's ruining this county; the SBBC. Had SI, on day one, gone on the news and blamed the MSDHS Principal for not delegating responsibility, in his absence, to have his gate secured, and SBBC for holding up bond money for security projects, he would have had the county behind him. Medina, a 17K employee of marginal intelligence, and a senior deputy experiencing a full blown medical panic attack, left to fend for himself, without relief are NOT the villians in the story. SI certainly has had no problem blaming the BC for holding up the communication tower projects. When you stay silent you appear to be an ally of corruption. SI has put himself in the camp of SBBC, the most loathed entity in Broward. His failure to remove himself is perceived as weakness. That image overides any acknowledgement of the politically motivated overreach of Ron deSantis. The grand jury report and up coming news stories about missing money in BCPS will further erode public confidence. Since the beginning, VOTERS have sought a hero in the story because that's what people do. Runcie and his minions are the bad guys. The public has been left with no choices other than settling for this new guy who probably isn't any better, just different. If I were SI, i'd do a Hail Mary and expose a few LE and BCPS employees, in one district, who for their own benefit, left one community very unsafe since 2012.

^ True. Even the vocal anti-DeSantis squad is on Toneys team because of the school situation, not that Toney won't go along with their shananagans but he doesn't have the proven history of being a Runcie wing man. Preaching to your own baptist choir won't win an election. The moderate democrats are behind Tony, the temples are too.
