UPS shooting reminds us of the still unresolved Redlands massacre

Yesterday’s senseless shooting in the middle of a congested artery that may have caused the death of the UPS driver and an innocent bystander could have ended worse with even more casualties. Even if you are taking gunfire, how do you risk shooting and possibly injuring innocent victims?
This shooting is no different than the black eye we received a few years ago in the Redlands where a crew of heavy handed players executed three robbery subjects and one of our informants. Until this day, we have waited for PCB to tell us who stole the recording watch worn by the informant that would have solved the case.
As law enforcement officers we must safeguard life and property. Shooting indiscriminately while surrounded by civilians will prove costly and result in another black eye for MDPD. The lack of leadership here is palpable.

Really, Again you want to grieve heartless home invaders, criminals and idiot CI (which signs a waiver form.... let me guess you don’t know what that is) who too was a criminal that ratted out his boys. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. They got what they deserved, the SRT men that were there had a pair set on tight, willing to confront hard core thugs knowing the propensity of violence and death was going to happen (even if meant them) to protect an ungrateful society that we live in. No one likes the raw truth that comes with this job.

If you want to be sensitive about it, you are in the wrong profession.

I truly hope your “law enforcement experience” comes from watching cop movies on tv and that no serious law enforcement agency has bothered to hire you. We do not come to this job to gauge “the size of our balls”. We come here to protect life and property. If I remember correctly, that whole incident down South was the result of a hothead supervisor who set up a terrible OPS plan and it blew on his face. No different on this UPS shooting. Just a bunch of hotheads wanting to go on record for firing a gun while on duty. If the driver or innocent bystander were members of your family you would feel quite differently.

When’s the last time you have been involved in something that dangerous?
