Its sounds like what several schools do right now already with after school program for those that need extra time. I really do not see the issue with this myself since she's talking about doing a study first to see the pros and cons. It's really the only way to fix the problem since there are so many different jobs out there with different hours. I myself am gone from 6:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. If it wasn't for my wife staying home while the kids were younger I wouldn't be able to pick them up and would have had to pay for an after school program.
