I'm glad you posted this. The PBA has only one defense- to lie about everyone, everything, and every organization. IUPA is the premier law enforcement organization so to say that they are not cop friendly is a bold face lie.

IUPA came into central Florida like a whirlwind several years ago. Folks were so sick of FOP and PBA they were willing to try anything. IUPA was able to negotiate a 24% raise for Volusia County Deputies right out of the box...which attracted all the other units in the area. IUPA recruited 8 units within 17 months and have literally taken over the area. PBA still over promises and under delivers which sends folks running to us on a daily basis. Teamsters ? Meh. Teamsters still charge 80 dollars a month in dues and send a tired Business agent to the table to negotiate for folks. They were decimated in central Florida. There aren't enough Teamster represented cops left to play a game of choose up basketball.

Dude...you are talking out the wrong hole. One of those PLEA/IUPA organizers has over 26 years organizing police unions from Oregon to Indiana, and on down to Florida. Yelling fake news doesn't make it fake news. They are here because people asked them to come and give us a choice. PBA has been the only game in town for decades. That is coming to an end....soon.

Funny what a little competition does to the PBA. Meetings...Fear tactics...hyper posting on LEO affairs...Watch them finally start representing their members like they should. But only until the threat goes away. PBA can't help themselves. It's a diseased business model. Designed to take your money while they cozy up to admin.

PLEA has no record of really helping officers just ask Eureka Gracia and the officer charged down south. Plea comes on here to lie cause they got nothing
