I wonder why VanD'Huynslager is the one who addressed the issue. I would like to know how come Chief Angell did not explain why he took no action. Why is this a Sheriff’s Office issue? It looks to me that there were no founded violations of policy, procedures or laws, it was not even investigated. It looks like both Officers left the Clewiston Police Department voluntarily with no issues, how would the Sheriff know? If it was not investigated by the Police Department? I doubt there was anything placed in either officer's file to be found by any background investigation? Did the Clewiston Police Department administration inform the Sheriff’s Office about the accusations they were not investigating? Looks to me like election year is closing in on us and some people are already trying to find dirt to throw and if they cannot find any, they will make their dirt someone else’s and throws it.

Everyone that conducted the investigation now works for whidden as a supervisor. You don’t think it ever came up. And there is the little fact about a pre employment polygraph that one of them may have failed the first time only to be given a second try. If the sheriff did not know about the allegations he was the only one not to. And peaches has his finger on the pulse of the county. He knew he just didn’t care.
