MA’s chain of command , all the way up to the Sheriff are accountable. And So is the SAO, who dropped the ball on this one . They need a fall guy and that guy is the guy out of state. Plain and simple

No where does it say you can fabricate evidence. If that’s what the deputy did then the deputy is accountable for his actions. I know you’d love it to be different, but that’s not reality. To err is human, until robots enforce the law bad decisions will happen. And the day robots are cops you and everyone else will hate strict enforcement. The ACLU will be the first ones to cry about it. Just like with body cameras. Defense attorneys screamed for body cameras. Now they hate them because they record the stupid things that defendants do and say and it makes their job harder.

Even worse, he can sue the agency and get paid. One of the worst examples of botched cases in agency history.
