Pinellas detective, prosecutors lied in child porn case, sex offender walks

    https://www.tampabay.com/news/crime/...could-go-free/

"The judge concluded that “police and prosecution knowingly and intentionally … made false statements." As a result of the judge’s ruling, "all charges against the Defendant will have to be dismissed.”

Yet another monumental disaster, this time Sheriff Bob Gualtieri shares the blame with the prosecutor, Bernie McCabe for letting this POS sex offender walk free.

The real question is who knew that Detective Alvarez was lying and signed off, and who/if anyone at the SA colluded with him?

Easy for Gualtieri to say he'd have Alvarez arrested if he remained in the county but no word as to who else was in the loop with Alvarez.

I’m sure the warrant is coming to bring him back. Somebody has the pay and it’s an election year.

Not like this is the first time it's ever happened. The only thing different is it got out to the news this time.

Yet another black eye for Bob on the heels of the Adams Arms disaster but nobody of any consequence is running against him so he is assured re-election.

So what stops Bob from issuing a warrant for his arrest now? Maybe he is afraid he will spill the beans about how this is a common practice of the PCSO in his defense? That the SAO filed out the affidavit FOR him while he was sitting in the SAO's office like we used to do with Groger? Bob knows not to rip the door off of that closet.

Someone way above his pay grade signed off and they would be dragged in the mud wallow if a warrant is issued now. It's all smoke and mirrors to protect Bob and whoever else is involved with Alvarez. It's all about damage control now.

How do you know that he did not write it himself? He is a CAC detective. They write affidavits. Maybe you are making stuff up?

It's not about who wrote it, it's about who swore to it. Once a person swears to the words that are within the four corners of the affidavit, they own it!
