Lubin was kicked out of Homicide for disobeying a written redline directive by his non-racist sergeant to take a class to improve his writing. After years of turning in crappy work and supervisors just looking the other way, someone tried to fix the problem. NOT BECAUSE OF RACISM. Lubins only appearance on First 48 had to be subtitled. And he was the last of the Eunice Cooper people so Melancon was happy to get rid of him.

Lack of experience in IA and Homicide has to do with lack of incentive to go to investigations as well as senior officers bad mouthing those same units and their administrations instead of applying.

Career patrol officers that have never amounted to anything or made any significant difference in any aspect and spent their entire career being slugs have no business having press conferences or making allegations

Melancon has single handedly destroyed CID. It started with taking away the CID parking lot, restricted OT, not putting the right people in key spots like Ricky Lopez over Altar or Ruggiero, Erik Gonzalez over Guerra or Castellanos, Delgado over Mallon.

The complaints against Ortiz are 100% mishandled. But that has more to do with the fact the man has powerful friends in powerful positions, and he himself weilds a lot of authority and Power. And for the MCPBA to use the mishandling of Ortiz's cases to say that all complaints against white and Hispanic officers never lead to discipline while black officers are disciplined, is reckless.

Why didn't the MCPBA do a press conference in support of Colina when 3 black officers, who were probably members of the MCPBA, were arrested for try to show a uniform fake Hitman who is an FBI agent? Because it's always easier to complain and whine and moan and point fingers.

The police department, any police department, is no place for a militant black person who has self esteem and inferiority issues because of his/her race. I dont recall the police academy teaching "when you are dispatched to a 3 15, if the officer needing assistance is black, slow down and arrive last". Once you are sworn in you are no longer white, black, Hispanic, Asian...etc. You are BLUE. Is there racial tension? Yes, there is and always will be. Are promotions based on politics as well as demographics? Yes. Was the last Sgt and LT test weighted to help more black females get promoted? Probably. If you dont like it, leave.
