The Governor is responsible for the MORON Tony Gregory, agree.
However........ He will never do that again. The simple truth is that he trusted others and just accepted the diversity choice, which usually leads to failure. Ron D has done great things for Florida and fought against the kkk demokratsts in congress for years trying to overturn the election of Trump with a pathetic frame up Don D helped to uncover. The narcissist wannabe colonoscopy powell .........
Tony Gregory
will just be a bitter memory of a bloated Rat , throwing anal beads and candy to turd burglars!

Please do! Load up those church busses and praise Jesus the whole way. We WANT you to have Scott back for many reasons, business as usual, PROMISE, the whole package. Us parents don't need to ask any serious questions except for:
In a few months, how will we ever thank BERNS for his expertise in ridding us of about 175 lbs of liberal fat?
Pines, SWR and soon.....Parkland.

This is all political theater, nothing more.
DeSantis cares nothing about the desires of non-Republican voters in Broward County. He lost Broward 2:1 against Gillum, who was under investigation by the FBI. Now, the GOP of CS and Parkland is asking Republicans in Broward to contact Senators and try to sway them to vote to uphold the suspension. This was a political hit job when the suspension occurred and it is all political now.
The problem is precedent. If Israel was clearly guilty of what he was accused of AND was clearly responsible for both the MSDHS shooting and the FLHIA shooting incidents, we would not be having this discussion. But, he was not. What he was was, was a political scapegoat. And, to the best of my knowledge, the only sheriff in Florida history who was suspended who was NOT arrested, charged with or under indictment for a criminal offense. It was a purely political suspension. So, if a political suspension of a constitutional officer is allowed to stand, without significant evidence to support the charges, then this ets a precedent that any governor can do the same thing, at whim. And, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. A Democrat governor could target Republican elected officials just as easily. And, that is the question that the Senate has to deal with. The Snipes suspension never got to the Senate. And, Snipes WAS clearly incompetent and her incompetence was demonstrably affecting the elections in Florida. Now, the Israel suspension HAS gotten to the Senate and Israel is NOT clearly responsible for either of the shootings and any incompetence following those shootings does not rise to the level necessary to justify suspension for incompetence.
So, we shall see which way the Senate jumps. Stay tuned.

" What he was was, was a....." lol !!
Yes, a democrat could target a republican just as easily. Bring it. We see how Nancy Pelosi has shown herself to be a brave warrior, wagging her finger at Trump. Maybe she needs Pocahontas and the squad to assist. Surprised that you're knocking Snipes. If it weren't for her banker's boxes of ballots, do you honestly believe that SI "beat" Lamberti in 2012? Few do.

Several people here are mature and educated enough to follow this suspension with unbiased speculation. To the few that know what they are talking about. My question to you is do you feel that Israel has a true chance of being reinstated? And more so, what kind of percent chance does he have of the senate ruling in his favor? 50%? Could it be higher than 50%? Thank you for any serious responses based on substance, not emotion.

Actually, I AM NOT an attorney. Nor am I an Israel supporter. In fact, I am not a paid anything. And, while Scott Israel has a lot of competency problems, this suspension has much bigger future ramifications for the state than the removal of a single sitting sheriff for political gain. I merely pointed that out. And, apparently it hit home, again.
Don't like Israel, vote him out in 2020. That is the way the system works.

Whether Israel would have beaten Lamberti in 2012, without "help" is debatable. Lamberti's problem is that he was not a good political sheriff. He was an excellent administrator, but he much preferred to work FOR someone in authority. Broward County, being what it is, there is a very good chance that "extra" votes may have been found to give Israel the edge. However, in the next four years of Rick Scott's term, no effort was ever made to prove that, was it?
The problem that has developed now, is that any elected official can be summarily suspended by a governor for really weak charges of incompetence. If allowed to stand, this makes it open season on all elected officials for strictly political purposes. Not a good thing to have to deal with. Remember, the majority of Broward County residents did not publicly demand the suspension of the sheriff. It was a small cadre who got the governor to act.
