New SOP for social media?
Let's just get rid of all social media . Then we can be a police department again. We let it dictate every thing we do , it is ridiculous. We used to let some face book group tell police what to do and now we just over react to people who criticize us all the time. Let's just walk away from social media and turn the comment sections off. Is that okay?

Yes seriously..... let us turn off the comments area and that will resolve much anxiety on the 4th floor.

You actually make a very valid point. Time was, if a citizen wanted to complain, or discuss an issue with us, they would shower, possibly make an appointment, or show up at a commission meeting and state their case. Now, with a piece of technology, any rube can rant freestyle without benefit of hygiene or even clothing. Way too easy to *****. If a point is worth making, it's worth a little effort.

We need a new Social Media person. The one we currently have is in love with himself not 1100 Wash. Now I hear that he went to the City Manager and conducted an investigation about a promotional video made for Sgt. SM. WTF!!!

Commander Ernie reported it directly to his immediate supervisor Marcia. Ricky answers to Commander Ernie.
The sad part is that he had some City Hall employees threatened with termination for doing nothing wrong.
