So last night the commission voted not to censure Gelin. You have set a precedent that will now embolden him to pull another stunt like that. Take the advice of the first speaker and get your own Police Dept because you have certainly lost the rank and file of BSO.

As a separate issue though, it's time to stop telling residents that they can't film in situations where you know that they have the right to. Gelin's actions in the meeting were disgusting, but his exposure of the HIPPA statement made by Gellardo was not flattering to the deputy, or to BSO. Deputies know the law about public recording. If you are uncomfortable with the filming, and for good reason, and make a statement like that hoping a resident will believe you, you're risking your credibility.

Not a snowflake. Are you defending that HIPPA comment? He was stating a law that does not exist in that context. Gellardo didn't need to say that. It gave ammunition to the sympathizers of abhorrent BLM supporters such as Gelin. How many times do the Big Nicks need to put this on display, to the embarrassment of the agency? What would have been better to have on film would be something like "I am asking you to allow this injured man his dignity." Other than that, Gellardo handled Gelin very well in the meeting.

Agreed, even though censure does nothing at least it would have sent a message. The commission mainly the Mayor fell short of standing up to this unqualified racist. The only time this became a race issue is when he interjected his cronies last night at the meeting. In the infamous words of Jim Carrey , " QUIT BREAKING THE LAW A**HOLE."

This article on face value would make you think that blacks are being shot on a daily basis. Just look at the numbers they dont like. This is the kind of crap causing race relations to break down.
Please read through the article by the liberal Miami New times just don't read it. This completely debunks their own theory that the Police are killing black people arbitrarily. Some speakers last night would have you think that there is an epidemic of blacks being killed at a disproportionate rate. As always investigate things for yourself before you buy into conspiracy theories. Equal numbers of black and whites were killed by Police, discipline yourselves and maybe the numbers will go down.

The commission has all gone rogue it will no sooner be like it's sister city Lauderdale Lakes. The commissioners will spend all the money, bankrupt the city and I will say , " I told you so !".
