Sheriff Scott Israel will be reinstated
Without a doubt Sheriff Israel will be back. The Senate has to rule in his favor because he has done nothing wrong. The real subject in question is DeSantis for his own political gain.
DeSantis will be questioned for this. The people of Broward County to include Parkland want Israel to return and vote for Sheriff Israel back.

Your last Dream was A Nightmare he's not coming back
No friggin way is he being reinstated. Not in the least. You already see the negativity he brings no Republican Senator would risk his or her Career for Dumb Mumbles. Candy and Nuts don't go together. He's Finished in Florida Politically. He's finally along with his clown show seeing the votes slip from under his feet.

...Sure. Would that be the phantom mystery parents who "demanded soft policing" who want Israel back? Please entertain us by naming them. So far, no one seems to be able to identify these folks. We'd sure love to call them out. For the most part, Parkland is divided by political party, east and west of Pine Island, (the suspended lived in the Long Island west end)but are united on one issue: We don't want Israel back as Sheriff. Polar opposites, the farthest left, the farthest right wing and everything in between. Even Guttenberg, a radical leftist and Gillum supporter does not support Israel. We don't want Israel, and we're not crazy about Tony either. We don't move the needle, and are fully aware that Israel couldn't care less about this community, but the good people here really would like to at least financially contribute to a candidate that is a good fit for us, and for the rank and file as well. Policing has improved a lot in this city over the past year. It's probably not the current Sheriff or the command in the district to credit for these changes. We have really good deputies who are fair and do listen when they are approached.

Buffoonery
Israel is a slimy Democrat, but he will be reinstated because he did not do anything "illegal." He may be a pompous ass, but everything he did is merely civil and political buffoonery. DeSantis's actions against Israel are purely a political knee jerk reaction -- and nothing more. Two wrongs don't make a right.

If SI had one ounce of decency, he'd meet with the Parkland commissioners and agree to forfeit Parkland as a district whether he's reinstated or re-elected, for no other purpose than out of respect for the feelings of the parents of the dead children. He doesn't, and he wont.
MSD was not his fault. But, regardless of that fact, any decent man would take the high road on this. The governor did overstep, but there's no sympathy for SI because the optics are that he puts himself first as the primary victim of the entire scenario, including the tragic events of 2/14.

What the heck are you talkng about? Parkland can cancel their contract with the BSO at anytime and reinstate their own police department. They do not need the Sheriff's permission to do this.
Want to know why the city does not reestablish its own PD? Money. Not only would it be more expensive, but they would incur the liability for LE actions.
