More bad publicity for HPD due to this idiot sergeant!

Even in law enforcement media we are being made to look like idiots:

Sgt Menocal, this soap opera has been running for 4 years now. If you have any sense of honor and respect for this department and it's officers you must do the right thing. It's time to go.

    Is Menocal the bag man?

    From the article:

"Velázquez said that he, attorney Hillah Méndez, legal counsel for Hialeah police, and high-ranking officers in the Internal Affairs Department met for nearly two hours with the state attorney’s Public Corruption Unit.
Following “the protocol for these cases,” Velázquez said that Menocal Jr.’s weapon was removed, he was relieved of his assigned patrol, and that his keys were turned in to his bosses.
It turns out, as detailed by the Miami New Times, the department lied and Menocal Jr. was never suspended or taken off the street. In fact, the investigation into the allegations is still open, four years after they were supposed to have taken him off the street."

So there it is. Proof that Velasquez is a liar. What makes Menocal so valuable to the chief that he would immediately flagrantly lie to the press after he was just advised otherwise by counsel?

My theory is that Menocal is actually the person who collects the payola from the strip clubs and turns it over to Velasquez and Hernandez. The bag man.

When you read the history of the Menocals this would not surprise me at all. And the corruption of Velasquez as it pertains to him and Hernandez shaking down strip clubs and chop shops is documented in another thread in this forum.
These people are all garbage. A brown stain on the reputation of law enforcement in general and HPD specifically. And as long as Hernandez and Velasquez are allowed to rule with an iron fist to protect their operations nothing will change.

Maybe that would explain his rapid promotion to sergeant

Interesting how similar the details of the Gonzalez and Menocal armed sexual battery cases are.
The difference is Gonzalez was arrested, whereas Menocal, who's victim was a juvenile, was never even suspended.

Will Hernandez and Velasquez finally have to find a new bagman?

JM......you sound confident that Velasquez and Hernandez will have your back. After all you are the conduit for the payola, right? Would any other officer have gotten the same protection you have received in the last 4 years??
