April 2019, Tony educated the city of Tamarac about “due process” and that he would not over react for political reasons and circumvent the due process procedure that he was more experienced with than anyone on the Tamarac council.

Short time later, Tony suspends all three Deputies despite training, legal, IA and everyone else telling him the 3 Tamarac Deputies did nothing wrong.

May of 2019, Tony educates the media by releasing a handy dandy flyer explaining “due process “ and that he must stop investigating the Deputies so it does not violate FSS 112 while the SAO has began a crimininvestigation.

June of 2019, after Tony tells the public and media that he cannot move forward with an internal affairs investigation while a case is “tolled” because of a ongoing criminal case which is standard and past practice, he personally authorized IA to secretly proceed against the Tamarac 3.

July 3rd, Tony bows to political pressure from Ben Crump after Crump issues a deadline of July 4th for the SAO to charge the Tamarac Deputies or else.

July 3rd, the 3 Tamarac Deputies are charged by the SAO and Tony places all 3 Deputies on a non paid status. The paid status is not mandatory and is up to the Sheriff to place them on unpaid status.

August 2019 Major Russo has already been in Tamarac and North Lauderdale telling people the Sheriff is working on something and it is a sure thing that the Tamarac Deputies will be cleared by the PSC and returned to work when the PSC board clears them of wrongdoing.

September 2019, the Tamarac Deputies internal affairs case is presented to the PSC board for recommended discipline. All 3 Deputies are exonerated of all internal criminal activity before any of the cases have gone to trial.

Tony now refuses to sign off on the recommended discipline from the PSC board and is also refusing to place the Deputies back on paid status.

Tomorrow, Mackey’s criminal case starts and no doubt, the PSC board issue will certainly come up. Tony thinks by not signing off on the discipline form that the case can remain active and keep it from the trial. Problem is, the criminal trial TRUMPS the IA case. Bet you didn’t know that Tony huh?

Temporary tony has placed more than the Tamarac 3 in jeopardy with his decisions and “expertise “. Tony thought he could celebrate a victory in the media but realized that no matter which way this turns out, there will be egg on his face.
TT did the same thing with the Parkland incident, he is putting politics over doing the correct thing with his own men and women. The PSC recommended simple suspension for the deputies and demotion for the Sgt for not taking charge of the scene. TT said just fire them all and have them win their jobs back in arbitration, he doesnt care all these people have familes.
