So the new CID Major is having one of those " introduction and expectations" division wide meetings. No one cares Major. Detectives and sergeants care about things being returned to a time when people enjoyed investigative work. A time when lieutenants and Sergeants and even Detectives were in investigative units based on their skills and knowledge and not on the friends and family plan. So instead of making speech, why don't you make some changes. Dont know where to start? Here's some food for thought

The DV Sergeant who is never at work. He takes off more time than his entire unit combined. The homicide lieutenant who was never in any investigative unit, and is also a SWAT Commander ( conflict of interest) if his order results in a SWAT shooting. Start looking for a replacement SVU lieutenant. The current one is retired on duty.

Make the changes and leave the speeches for those that just want to sound like they care.
