Hey, that's a good idea. While we're at it, since you're keen to help make things better, USF can do away with the Tampa Campus PD as well, and let Tampa PD and HCSO take it over. Although it's a fair bet that if you're working there, it's because you didn't pass the "background and intelligence test" to get hired anywhere else, so you'd better hope they have plenty of openings in parking enforcement.
Problem solved! Good luck with the job hunt. Remember, no whining.

Reality
1.5 percent raise negotiated by the PBA for 3 years? JUST ENOUGH TO KEEP PAYING UNION DUES.
A 30 minute meeting and planned ratification over the phone with the Board of Trustees.
Little mention of the issues at USFSP.
Disparity in pay. Poor equipment. Lack of proper officer and dispatch staffing. The Tampa PBA rep does not even notify or communicate with paying due members here at SP. Cars with carbon monoxide detectors in them. No promotions or career progression in over 15 years.
Let's not mention the shady practices.

Consolidation
If the St Petersburg or Sarasota Manatee personnel are not receiving the same perks as Tampa there WILL be a lawsuit.
