Seems like there is a difficulty filling Captain spots. There are 3 positions open, or coming open and no Lts are taking the spots. Tamarac captain was in the drop so the agency knew for 5 years when that spot was going to he vacant. The airport Captain gave 30 days notice, which has come and gone. Yet these spots are still vacant. Now Port captain has given her notice. The names being kicked around are all hesitant to take the job. Is it because the agency granted the Captains permission to seek protection and then squashed it?

I have to agree, the guy has controversy every where he goes...Been kinda quiet in Tamarac but is definitely not Chief material but most in this place aren’t.

But now they plan on bringing in a token Chief to appease the liberal warriors, but leave SF there as either XO or patrol Lt because he is the only one who knows how to actually run the place.

You can’t grant political positions protection. Captains of Districts are the most political positions a sheriff has. If you granted protection you could be easily undermined.
