Manpower
Perhaps someone should enlighten night shift Lt. If he needs help try not to be arrogant by claiming your delta guys are equal to two officers, if that's how you think then go with the ten you have, they equal twenty correct? These guys will never learn. Then throw a veiled threat to conscript people to work your shift, let us know how October goes .

Same old story. 40 officers showing on the screen, but only 10 working the road. And then we reward lazy SRO'S by allowing them to sign on as"Housing Units" when the schools are closed. FMPD admin is a lost cause.

If you resent lazy SRO's why didn't you put in for a spot , so when schools are closed you expect resource officers to work a shift because they are short handed due to mismanagement by supervisors and command staff, who are unable to fully and safely staff 4 shifts , although we have hired dozens recently, dont blame working officers , blame our leaders

My advice to any officer is to get the hell out of patrol as quickly as possible, overworked, understaffed, difficult to get time off, lousy supervisors, 12 hour days, not appreciated by agency, no change in foreseeable future.do your time and go home to family, this is just a job.

Put in a grievance everytime your training request or vaca is denied due to manpower because you know that never happens to non road patrol people.
