You could have stopped at “Retired Major RN was always bragging about .......”. That’s all he knew how to do.

“In February 2014, then-Deputy Matthew Seymour wrote a memo recommending Adams Arms. Seymour said the Adams Arms rifle was almost identical to the Rock River gun but featured an operating system that made it “a cleaner, cooler and more reliable running weapon.”

He compared Adams Arms to nine other brands, including giants such as Bushmaster and Ruger. In his comparison, he cited the manufacturer’s websites, online gun forums and Wikipedia”

Seems legit to let a Detention Deputy switch out AR’s based on internet forums and Wikipedia (which anyone can change online). Yea, good call.......

It's like comparing a Yogo to a Tahoe. It's all BS, there is no way a Training jailer would have had any credibility as an AR15 expert, let alone convince the top brass and sheriff to buy AA instead of a proven reputable company, with so many better choices available. It's a coverup to protect the top brass who approved and sealed the AA purchase.

Seymour was the first to get a free rifle and other perks at PCSO. He then acted as the sales agent for AA. The Sheriff's Facebook page even has a photo of Seymour standing next to a stack of AA rifles with the AA logo on the overhead training screen back in 2015. He was talking to Longo over at Pasco who made a pretty sweet personal deal with AA if he could get Pasco to purchase. Once they did, AA offered Longo a sweeter deal if he could get other area sheriffs to buy the guns. Longo and Seymour worked together with AA to push PCSO. Seymour arranged "factory tours" for certain brass who also received the "if you purchase" personal package deal. Ask yourselves this, Why would Seymour have a purchase quote from AA to PCSO well before any brass had signed off on the deal. Who gave Seymour the authority to request an official PCSO purchase bid from AA?

There is NO WAY that PCSO purchased over 300 rifles based on the recommendation of one deputy. There is NO WAY that the Sheriff read that memo and said, “buy them, buy them now.” I GUARANTEE that the Chief Deputy or one of the Ass Chief Deputies elevated this purchase. And where does the Support Services Major fall into this catastrophe? And this purchase was a well known failure from the first test shots on. This didn't just happen. Jowell knew this from the start Sheriff. So did Campbell (Just “Stef”), Simovich (Yellow Teeth), and Steffen (I’m just clueless). Sheriff if you are so naive to believe this is all new then regardless of your intelligence, you’re a gullible nitwit. The problem is and has always been Campbell. She beat down anyone whoever offered new ideas. If anything went wrong she claimed ignorance and blamed everyone below her. How many trainers, sergeants, lieutenants and captains has that lying witch gone through? And now you wonder why NO ONE wants to go to Training? Hell you had a trainer leave for Tampa because Training wouldn’t let him out after his sentence was up. I guess the Deputy/Corporal Contract doesn’t mean crap either. Dead end transfer working for a two faced witch who just plays a great game of George Steffen’s “This Is The First I’ve Heard About This!” I can hear that fake, condescending laugh right now. Yeah hahahahah Stef. That’s what anyone will do when you leave. Laugh their asses off.

It's against General Orders to obtain any personal gains, financial favors, favorable publicity, or otherwise by using our positions as public servants and sworn deputies. So everyone who received anything for free from Adams Arms is in violation of this General Order. This particular order was written precisely to prevent situations such as these in which an inferior company with an inferior product essentially bribed its way into the rifle sale, while obtaining an illegal advantage over other more reputable companies offering superior and proven rifles. Let's see if the ones who were bribed with free rifles will be investigated and punished because Sheriff Gualtieri seems to have missed this part at the news conferfence. So much for Gualtieri's constant crowing about holding people accountable and responsible for their actions.

Furthermore, why buy an untested and unproven product from a virtually unknown company when there are several reputable AR15 manufacturers out there with far better rifles? Easy - quid pro quo arrangements, extreme ignorance, and a willingness to jeopardize people's lives with cheap garbage rifles. I hope they don't pull the same stunt when it is time to replace the current sidearm by going with a mediocre and unsafe pistol, just because the brass was bribed.
