Another shining example of professionalism in our agency. Way to go guys, you just made yourselves broke but gained some prison time, on the other side of the bars that you are used to. Good luck in prison.

Anyone who tries to justify the seriousness of this crime committed by staff is insane. So what if she is a criminal. Ever hear of "care, custody and control"? We are not judges and executioners. The staff involved is looking at prison time. Maybe they did not belong on the job to begin with.

Now now....be nice....if more criminals got a straight beat down more often, then society as a whole might be safer. Prison is supposed to suck and my guess she pushed to hard. Don't commit crimes if you want to be treated like a human.

    You are a moron.

She is paralyzed for life requiring around the clock care and will sue the state for damages, pain and suffering. It will cost millions of the taxpayers' money due to the actions of a few imbeciles who think like you do. Then there will be punitive damages and prosecutions of those involved. More of the taxpayers' money wasted. If the feds get involved there will be a court appointed monitor. Think about that when you ask the legislature for a raise.

I am recently retired DOC with more time in prison bathrooms than you have on the floors.

Do the facts bother you? It's people who think like you who are the problems at DOC. Go ahead and act stupid on the job and see where that takes you. Fired if you are lucky, or prosecuted and broke if you are not. Good luck getting even a security guard job then.

You are right, what was I thinking? She will never misbehave again because she is paralyzed and the rest of the inmates who saw what happened to her will be church choir girls from now on.

As far as the lawsuit against the DOC, the taxpayers (the same people who pay DOC salaries) will pay for it, the guards responsible will get some prison time and go bankrupt, with no good job prospects when they get out (if they make it out).

No big deal, carry on, business as usual.
