So if the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is so concerned about the mental health of its deputies, then why do they nitpick the ever-loving shiit out their deputies? As if the failure of the staff to provide adequate man power, thus GREATLY increasing the stress of deputies every day, wasn’t bad enough. The nonstop nit-picking, ass chewing, and grudge holding is taking its toll on the same deputies the Sheriff CLAIMS to be concerned about the mental health of.

This upcoming program being plastered all over social media is just for show. All so the office can appear to care about the mental health of its deputies. I’m calling bullshiit! It’s been mentioned numerous times before, but it needs to be said again. It’s the little things. Fix the little things and they will bring huge improvements to the mental health of deputies.

You just don’t get it. The sheriff is responsible to the citizens of the county. So he’s keeping them informed about what he’s doing to make things better. They voted for him so he would improve things and he’s doing exactly that. When bad things happen, it’s his responsibility to let the citizens know how he is responding. Sounds like he’s just trying to get ahead of the next suicide, it’s been awhile since a deputy lost their shite and took it out on their loved ones. The problem of suicide takes more than this political hoo-doo! Want to really help. Start by getting rid of that azz clown Skotko Vincent P PhD! All he does is give the MMPI and WAS. Both have been used since the late 1930’s. It’s a scam. Ask any modern Psychologist. Hire a Psychologist who specializes in PTSD and has worked counseling veterans of both the military and law enforcement! Chad is failing miserably. So much for promises made.

How about starting with not making us light the candle at both end. A mid shift. Get us home on time. Help us manage all the misdemeanor shoplift follow ups. Give us time to write. It really sucks to have worked all night long. 12 hours. Literally working since the day prior. Only to see one or two day shift units log on to relieve us. Make our sleep a priority. Mental health awareness should be proactive and ongoing. Not reactive. 30 years is a long time. Start there.

From the first point you made, I can tell you must work the same district I do. Supervisors nitpicking the crap out of us, due to different styles, has many at my district stressed the F out. SO WHAT if you don't like the style a deputy has. If he's getting the job done, and everyone is safe, shut the hell up!

Wasn't there a deputy that just quit instead of going back on patrol? No freakin wonder. And that brings up another point of discussion. With patrol being as stressed out as it is, why on God's green earth would the reject supervisors be sent there as punishment? If a supervisor messes up, so royally that they have to be taken out of their current position, why the heck would they be assigned to the most stressed out deputies in the entire agency -- patrol. What does giving supervisor who've fukced up, to the most stressed deputies, do to those deputies. No one thought that policy through.

Here we go with the violent rage again. This is troubling. The sheriff is trying his best to make EAP available to all, and instead we get this caveman threatening to beat people up. Please seek help from somewhere. If you don’t get help through EAP, please get help from another professional source. Do it for your family.
