Lie #1 according to James:
“COMMUNITY LEADERS IN ONE CITY CUT SCHOOL OFFICERS BY HALF
The students demanded it. The community demanded it. They were fed up with police in schools criminalizing their children. The "School to Prison Pipeline" as it is now called.
Here in Pinellas County, Sheriff Gualtieri is still hell bent on putting more police in schools and arresting more students than ever before. As this city and it's students and parents prove, not everybody feels that turning schools into prisons for children is such a great idea.
Gualtieri is trying to scare parents all across the state on his "blood and guts" tour showing anyone who will look and listen the gory photos and videos of Stoneman Douglas. All to convince them that more police hovering over their children ready to arrest them is a good idea.
I do not feel that having officers stationed in schools all day with the power to arrest and the incentive to do so is a good idea for our youths. It sends the wrong message to our children that they live in a police state and they must comply with anything an officer tells them to do or face beatings and arrests.
Vote James McLynas for Sheriff of Pinellas County if you feel that turning our schools into a prison waiting room is not a good idea.

That’s cut and pasted from James FB page. He claims the Sheriff is hellbent on arresting more students than ever before. Hmmm. Funny. Because Juvenile Diversion at PCSO used to be for one arrest that could be diverted. He changed it to up to three arrests that can be diverted. The school itself has a three strikes diversion on misdemeanors as well. And PCSO participated in programs geared towards alternatives to arrests. So nice try. Liar liar pants on fire James.

So you could not come up with an example of McLynas lying either it looks like. All you posted was your opinion. Can you point to a specific thing he lied about? So far it seems that all you have is accusations of your own. Having someone in politics that is welcomed in all areas of the community seems like a positive thing to me. I wonder what would happen to Bob if he showed his face in south St. Pete without a police escort. He posts anti CORRUPT police rhetoric from the looks of it. Is that what you don't like? You suport corrupt cops?
Signed

Lie #2 According to James:
“MANY SENIORS CANNOT AFFORD THEIR PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS
Using cannabis has proven to be a tremendous benefit to many for a number of ailments that affect the elderly. As it stands now, many seniors cannot afford their prescription medications and must do without some other essential items in order to buy their medicine. Most of these medications have unwanted side effects that are debilitating.
What would be so wrong with allowing people to grow their own medicine in their own backyard for free? I could see seniors one day sharing gardening tips and cannabis recipes.
Sheriff Robert Gualtieri on the other hand could see placing this woman in handcuffs and perhaps having her abused at the Pinellas County jail like Ms. Elysia Watkins was recently.
If you believe that we as a people should have the right to grow our own medicine, use natural God given plants and stop having to pay thousands of dollars to big pharma, then consider voting James McLynas for Pinellas County Sheriff in 2020 and I will end all cannabis enforcement and make this a reality.”
Actually James CBD oils and related “medicines” are quite expensive. I have yet to see a grandma growing her own weed for medicinal purposes. But if she has a medical marijuana card she can Uber on down to the dispensary and get her some weed. But regardless of what you think Grandma can’t grow her own. And that’s not the Sheriff’s call, that’s a thing called the legislature. Maybe you need an American National Government course.

Lie #3 According to James:
“THIS ONE MAN IS PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR MORE POLICE SHOOTINGS OF AMERICAN CITIZENS THAN ANYONE ELSE ON EARTH
His name is Dave Grossman and he teaches cops how to kill. His teachings follow the mantra of "killology", a term that he himself made up. Basically what he teaches cops is to shoot fast, shoot without question and shoot often. Grossman’s classes teach officers to be less hesitant to use lethal force and urges them to be willing to do it more quickly.
These police that take his training are under the delusion that the public is the enemy and this is "war". It is an "us against them" philosophy. He teaches cops that every single person in America is about pull out a gun and kill a cop for no reason at all. He teaches them to shoot as soon as they feel fear. Then he teaches them how to get away with it using the now well known magic word track "I thought he had a gun and I feared for my life".
Dave Grossman also is quoted as saying "the sex you have after you kill another human being will be the best sex of your lives. There’s not a whole lot of perks that come with this job. You find one, relax and enjoy it.”
Here in Pinellas County, your tax dollars paid for multiple Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies to take this "warrior cop" training. Back in 2017, I requested information from Sheriff Gualtieri on how many Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies took Grossman's training seminar "Bullet Proof Warrior". I received an invoice for $230 and was told that there were so many that it would take over eleven hours just to prepare the records for me to review. One person spending eleven hours just working on who took this class at the PCSO.
Do we here in Pinellas County want a Sheriff like Robert Gualtieri that teaches his deputies that we are ALL the enemy? We see the effects of this training when there are three patrol cars pulling over one little old lady. We see the effects as the body count climbs. We see the effects in the abrasive attitudes of so many PCSO deputies. Deputies that have taken Grossman's classes have killed Pinellas citizens. Enough is enough.
Do you want a Pinellas sheriff deputies having the "best sex of their lives" because they killed someone you loved? We deserve a police agency that treats us all with respect, not as an enemy while they have their hands on their guns, ready.
Vote James McLynas for Sheriff of Pinellas County 2020 if you don't want to be considered an "enemy" by the people whose salaries you pay.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload...fla3suXwlu7gE”
Lieutenant Colonel Grossman was a soldier who studied the psychology of killing and the mindset requires to survive the shooting, during and after. Killing is not a normal thing for a person. And preparing for a fight is something you have to do. Police don’t normally get time to prepare because 99.999% of their contacts with citizens don’t involve violence at that level. James can cherry pick what he wants. Grossman has never advocated killing. The warrior mindset is a necessary trait to survive in police work. It fills because you may never be faced with a deadly force situation for thirty years. But when it comes, it will be when you least expect it. Nice try James, your just racking up the BS points. 😆😆😆

Well, lets "politifact" that statement.
Sheriff Bob added 80 new SROs last year, doubled the SRO's in many schools and since Bob took office there has been a 214% increase in arrests at Pinellas County schools. Each one of those cases in the "diversion" program started with an actual "arrest". So the McLynas statement that Bob is "hell bent on arresting more students" is factual based on the ever increasing number of arrests since Bob has been in office. Bob's plan to put officers in every single school in Florida will also result in thousands of new student arrests across the state. So, basically Sheriff Robert Gualtieri will be directly responsible for "putting more police in schools" and "arresting more students than ever before" are both 100% factual. Sheriff Gualtieri will have caused more student arrests than any other sheriff in the history of the state of Florida.

So where is the lie here exactly? McLynas has stated when he is sheriff he will end PCSO's enforcement of pot laws. Any sheriff has the power to "de-prioritize" any law they want. He was specifically referencing being able to grow their own in this article, just like the photo showed on the article. Where is the lie?

Well, here is how the rest of the normal thinking World views Grossman.
