The only things that have come out are the facts proving your current sheriff to be both unethical and unqualified. That’s what has come, and likely continue to come.
It seems more believable that you people, while being on paid time, sit around and come up with whatever you can possibly create to throw against Leavens. This one is quite the elaborate stretch, though. I will give you that.

But we’ll wait and see what ACTUALLY comes of this. Again, like all of the other things that “have been turned over to the news stations” in an effort to “out” Leavens, it is probably false... or at the very least, been told in such a way that the facts are misrepresented.

Leavens has to run a smear campaign with Tim Brown, The Guardian and Richard Spence. He is completely out of money and desperate. The current sheriff just raised another $50,000 this week. Just think of the people Leavens is surrounding himself with, the people he promised to promote and put next to him in his made up command staff. Robert “Pills” Forrest, Kerry “Whiner” Griner, Michael “slap her in the ass at work” Waite, Bubba “ how do you spell that” Greene and Brian “DUI’s” Emmons. What a great team your building! Jimmy Whitey Leavens has ZERO traction or momentum going forward. People inside his campaign have lamented they're struggling to get the desperately needed 4500 signatures and Jimmy the Klan Man is getting increasingly angry and frustrated he can't raise money and is embarrassed about all the stories and information of his past racist views have come to light. Really??? Duh, Jim what did you think??!! He also realizes he screwed up and will probably have to answer why he was terminated from his job as a security guard.

The Lee County Sheriffs Office is called to a residence in reference to a medical assistance, possible overdose. That victim was transported to Gulf Coast Hospital where he later passed away. The girlfriend of the victim was frantic and was approached by a Security Guard (Leavens), Leavens had to intervene to deescalate the situation. Leavens made contact with the mother of the victim and began a relationship with her. That relationship continued outside of Gulf Coast Hospital, where Leavens began to befriend this grieving mother after the loss of her son. Leavens told her of his run for Lee County Sheriff and how the news media needed to know of the circumstances of her sons death. Leavens coached her and began to make her believe the detectives at LCSO are incompetent and wouldn’t send a pill out for testing before the toxicology results were even back. Then he started pulling out receipts of purchases that LCSO made that he believed to be unnecessary to upset the mother more. He used those purchases to explain to the mother that they can buy these but can’t send a pill out for testing in reference to her sons death. A pill that was discovered almost a month later and provided to the Detective. The family is now aware of Leavens aggressive behavior towards anyone that can discredit anyone at The Lee County Sheriffs Office. If you don’t believe this story feel free to ask any of us that work in Major Crimes. Leavens is attacking all of us for his possible political gain. Please share with anyone at Lee Health, his actions are immoral and unethical.

It's amazing how unpopular Leavens, and increasingly many former retirees and former employees, are becoming with the rank and file inside LCSO. There is virtually NO personnel openly expressing support for Leavens in contrast to Tim Fisher who ran against Scott who was becoming less popular AND STILL garnered roughly 30%. Leavens hasn't raised as much money OR been able to get enough signatures with less than a year to go. Worse, MCU absolutely hates the guy and many former Fisher supporters talk poorly of him.

Some of you retirees and former employees are being discussed and it's not pretty. Hopefully Lee Health questions Jim Magas's judgement after they terminate Leavens
