We know all about Bob because we have seen him in action over the years. Nobody below the rank of captain has anything good to say about him and those who are captain and above parrot the administration line just to keep their cushy jobs. But they too despise Bob because he was never a LEO working his way up through the ranks, just an undeserved promotion by senile Coats and a political appointment to sheriff by Rick Scott. Plus Bob has the personality and intelligence of an empty cardboard box.

A good Sheriff is not necessarily someone you like. If your measure is like ability then you probably think our Sheriff is an asshole, if you work here. That’s not everyone, but some people. But Bob made good on every promise he made regarding the LEO side. Step Plan back in business (Rice got rid of it). White milk man shirts gone. More benefits than we ever had before. Pay raises better than ever before. Better equipment and training. I’ve seen harsh discipline sometimes. I’ve seen mercy. I’ve seen kindness that Bob never publicizes. But the man has brought change to an agency that needed it. And prior to Bob that change was super slow. Maybe you don’t have enough time here to know how good things are now.
