We recommend that Colina institute a patrol policy wherein patrol officers working within the areas these clubs are located; when not engaged in calls for service preliminary investigations, will stop and remain on "Stationary Patrol" at the Club for 15 minutes. When the clubs have hired officers to work outside of them, the additional police presence will serve as a force multiplier and deterrent. Colina, you should treat club locations as Hot Spots; for they are.

You all need to worry more about working your regular shifts and not calling in I,V or EO. This is a 365 day a year operation not a come and go job then when you feel like you work.

How abou adaquately staffing patrol instead of keeping net areas at minimum and doing staffing based on city wide numbers.

We have increased the department by 400-500 officers how many of them were added to patrol? Bet it’s less than 100

Hey idiot.. the clubs should have adequate police. If you man clubs and the area with on duty personnel then they will feel they don’t need to hire additional officers.

Hey "dumber than a rock," how were you able to pass the battery of tests, police recruits must before graduating; including FDLE certification,?

Let's "dissect the below cited previous post into small reading segments:

"We recommend that Colina institute a patrol policy wherein patrol officers working within the areas these clubs are located; when not engaged in calls for service preliminary investigations, will stop and remain on "Stationary Patrol" at the Club for 15 minutes. patrol officers working within the areas these clubs are located

not engaged in calls for service preliminary investigations

will stop and remain on "Stationary Patrol" at the Club for 15 minutes

additional [VISUAL] police presence will serve as a force multiplier and deterrent.

treat club locations as Hot Spots; for they are. This is the post's most salient point; clearly you missed it.

Nowhere in the post do we recommend clubs not hired off duty police officers; they must. Our recommendation simply recommends an added level of security for the most important person or persons at the clubs, the off duty officer or officers.

Hate to be a crime victim in Miami and have you, should you be in patrol, conduct the preliminary investigation; worse, should you be a "detective."

Hey dummy, clubs have bouncers and security. The last thing the city wants is having officers calling 315's all the time to the clubs, or handling controls and transports.

Do you think the unarmed security guard or bouncer can stop an active shooter?
