    Miami Cop Arrested for DUi

A city of Miami police officer drove recklessly on U.S. 1 through Key Largo Saturday night before being pulled over and arrested on a driving under the influence charge, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy stopped Officer Danny Hebra, 39, at around 7:15 p.m. after watching him weave in and out of north and southbound traffic for about a mile and a half on the highway in his Chevrolet Tahoe SUV, according to an arrest report. He also drove into the bicycle lane, the report states.

He made a right turn on Jewfish Avenue, off mile marker 103.5, again driving into the oncoming traffic lane, Sgt. Paul Bean wrote in his report. Bean then turned on his overhead lights and Hebra stopped his car.

Whatever happened to the days of getting the keys and throwing them out then calling someone to pick them up? Monroe county ticketed a fed for speeding a couple of months ago. Are times changing? Now cops don’t even stick together?

It’s called BWC and idiots turning around and screwing officers over. I remember one person that’s a staff member now that was a bad 16 and fell asleep. A responding officer saw him passed out, bang on the window and thought he was in medical need so he broke the window. When they discovered he was a 16 and a po they put him in a taxi 🚖 and send him home.

The officer the next day got into a 34 with the officer that broke his window. Figure that out

Those days are gone.. It's CYA on everything! Cops still look out for one another on the most part. As far as this arrest goes, one he did it to himself and what were is actions once stopped? Now, cops believe they have entitlement, when stopped by another and no enforcement action should be taken. Should a 16 be let go, driving the way he was?? If you took a 19 on the radio and within a few miles down the road, after you let him off and kills someone. Your niceness, just got you fired. Calling a taxi?? Most have the taxi turn around after a few mins and get back into their car. Holding someone's keys till the end of the shift, can also get you fired. If they claim, items are missing from the car. If you call a supervisor by, he'll tell you to make the arrest. STAT'S!! Of course, he won't be the one called a sh!tbird..

    Not really surprised...

Not surprised, he has always been a walking time bomb and a super slug. Always scamming & avoiding report calls. I remember years ago that Danny lost it and bakered out in the middle of a 34 call. He took out his service glock and threatened to shoot everyone including his 15. He was forced to go see Axelberg and eventually took a leave of absence and resigned. Somehow he was allowed to return... He won't beat the rap on this one...

Cops still take care of cops, when they can. Body cams have changed things a lot; everything is on video and discoverable. As pointed out by another commenter, had this guy been let go and something bad happened he'd be the first one whining and suing saying that someone should have stopped him.
From what you're describing the guy is bad news, and if you're going to be dumb you gotta be tough.

Who was the Sgt that gave him legal advice over the phone and told him to refuse the roadside and the breathalyzer , does he gives advise to all the drunk drivers in Miami ,did he also explained that in Florida driving is a privilege and with the implied consent laws is a mandatory driver license suspension for a year and exclude him from the diversion program ,sure the state does not have the number and we will never know how much above the legal limit he was driving ,true until now that there's body cameras and vehicle dashboard cameras plus the officer observation , oh well we'll see what happens ,the good thing was that no one was hurt this time ,drunk drivers kill people
