they have been getting away with that and more for a long time. Let me help you get a clue what's up gringo..... CST all the ocean drive units, RA to CID OFF that 45 dead list , 1120 to CID past experience. The lieutenant up in CID is telling a few people he's bringing his sports buddy up 1186AY. This is before the interviews even take place this week. Its who you know.... not experience, RDA sgt.will be MN. Guys like Ron . will keep getting ****ed over his third attempt no justice.

you guys crying about who gets what assignment fairly obviously never worked at any other police departments in America. Back in the day you would not see a detail without 10 to 15 years within the dept before you were even acknowledged for a nice gig off of patrol. Favoritism and favors and hook ups to get into specialized details have been around since the dawn of policing. It is all under the table and back room deals about who you know and who you blow. Get over it. Never seen such babies not getting to play ball and benched on the sidelines begging for the coach to put them in the game. You know why you are not in the game / unit ? cause you are obviously not qualified nor a team player that is why. carry on and go answer your calls in your area and keep crying and complaining on this board.

You are talking about several diffrent topics and conflating them. Okay let me translate what you are refusing to say........ a long time ago you had to be on the job for over ten years before you achieved a unique position. Now all you need to do is assume the position if you are a female and if you play sports or drink with the shift commander of the unit you want to go to then you can be "selected" as the best candidate after the hoax "interview" . It's the fukin mafia in junior high. Ethics at the Miami beach sheriff's office is negative zero.
A legit dog and pony show has more ethical structure.

Personally seen the most qualified, most experienced candidates get shanked plenty of times beacuse they were not kiss asses or were not willing to be someone's 33 and they were more professional then the person they selected. Seen it so many times have lost count.

Well, if you are the type of person to come on to this web site and complain about not getting selected for a position (even though nothing has happened yet), you shouldn’t get it anyway.

By the way, this is called adulthood. I am all for people who run units being able to select who fits best with the unit/squad. Chemistry and TRUST is by far more important that just being “good” at something. How did you not know this?! You can be a bad ass street cop, who folds in IA and hands people up or you can be a great 15, who does his job and has your back. I would the guy who doesn’t fold all day.
