My deepest condolences are with the @browardsheriff over the tragic loss of one of their deputies this morning. We grieve alongside our brothers & sisters in blue. - Chief Jorge R. Colina @Jcolina67

Chief any thoughts for the driver of the pick up truck? We know in the city you have a MO of simply blaming innocent people of wrong doing when there is clear evidence that it was the officers fault. Hopefully this accident was caught on video. Regardless a sad incident for everyone including the driver of the pick up truck.

We cannot emphasize it enough: IT IS NOT GETTING THERE FAST THAT MATTERS, IT IS GETTING THERE THAT DOES!

The first rule of policing is: After your shift ends, get home uninjured and alive. Whether responding to a call on a 2 or 3, obey all traffic signals and speed limits. Crashing on the way to your call helps no one and least you. Arrive Alive!

You have a lawbreaker doing 120 mph on a motorcycle with his wife hanging on for dear life and you blame the police for his "suicide". Lets see, was the officers hand on the throttle, was the officer steering, was the officer forcing the driver to speed, was the officer doing anything other than enforcing the law??? If not, you ain't got shit!!!
