To give you a little past history on the incompetence or corruption a couple of months ago IA Major IBalmea was sustained for the improperly handling of a racist social media investigation against Captain Ortiz. The case was sustained but they were not able to issue Ortiz discipline due to a 112 violation. The violation was committed by Sgt Gilet. Sgt Gillet received a permanent reprimand in his file and issued remedial training.

The DOJ Civil Rights division is still monitoring the department for excessive force against people of color and failing to properly investigate misconduct. .

These latest allegations and investigations could cost the city millions and extend the DOJ agreement of monitoring the department.

This is far from over. What will Colina and the City Manager do now?

So what did Colina and the City Manager do absolutely nothing 🤪
